Look up an ingredients list
Paste the ingredients from a label. Every E number, INS number and additive name this site recognises is listed with what it does and its status in each jurisdiction, linked to its page.
This runs entirely in your browser. What you paste is not sent to this site or anywhere else.

These did not match an additive this site records. Most will be ordinary ingredients — sugar, flour, milk — which are not additives. Some may be additives under a name this site does not hold; matching is exact, so a misspelling or an unusual name will land here.
Labels in the other official languages of the European Union are matched too, from the names the Official Journal prints — acide citrique,Citronensäure, κιτρικό οξύ.
A status is the jurisdiction’s headline for the additive in food generally; whether it is permitted in this particular food depends on the food category and its conditions, which the additive’s page shows. “Not listed” means absent from that jurisdiction’s permitted list, which is not the same as prohibited. Allergen notes say what an additive is or may be made from, read against the EU allergen list; a label does not show which source a product used. Nothing here is a judgement on safety.
