Regulatory changes

Prohibitions, authorisations, announced phase-outs and compliance deadlines, newest first, each citing the instrument that made it.

No events are recorded yet. The schema holds them and this page renders them, but populating it means reading Federal Register documents and Codex session reports and writing each entry by hand — that is curation, not parsing, and it has not been done.

What will appear here

Our ingest already detects the raw signal. Four sections of 21 CFR currently carry a published amendment that is not yet in force — including 21 CFR 74.303, the food listing for FD&C Red No. 3, amended at 90 FR 4634 on 16 January 2025. Those are flagged in every ingest run and are reported, but they are deliberately not classified automatically: deciding whether an amendment is a phase-out, a revocation or a technical correction means reading the document, and guessing would put a false regulatory claim on an additive page.

Until then, the status panel on each additive page shows the regulation as it currently stands, with the date we retrieved it. See Method.
